On April 29, 2024, the Guangdong Provincial Energy Bureau issued review opinions on the energy-saving report of the Kexiang 8GWH sodium-ion energy storage battery and related product projects.

According to the announcement, the main technical standards and construction plans adopted by the Kexiang 8GWH sodium-ion energy storage battery and related product project comply with the requirements of relevant national energy-saving regulations and energy-saving policies, and the energy-saving report of the project is agreed in principle.

The main construction contents of the project include:

Construction of a sodium-ion energy storage battery production line with an annual output of 8GWh. The main buildings include 4 factories, R&D buildings, dormitories, opening and closing rooms, etc. The main equipment includes pulping machines, coating machines, roller slitting machines, and cutting and stacking machines. All-in-one machine, all-in-one chemical and volumetric machine, baking line, air compressor, chiller, etc.

Project energy consumption and main energy efficiency indicators: After the project is completed and put into operation, the annual comprehensive energy consumption will not be higher than 44,705 tons of standard coal (equivalent value), of which the annual electricity consumption will not be higher than 363.74 million kilowatt hours; the comprehensive energy consumption per unit product of the project The consumption is no more than 167.43 kg of standard coal/10,000 amp-hour.
