[Kazakhstan launches construction of multiple highways] Kazakhstan President Tokayev has launched the construction of three highways, all of which are planned to be completed by 2029. The project is undertaken by domestic enterprises and can create over 10000 job opportunities. After its opening, the freight volume is expected to increase by 2.5 times. The 800 kilometer long Beineu Sakchorsk highway is particularly critical, named the Xianlihai Main Line, connecting the ports of China and Kazakhstan with the Caspian Sea. It shortens the distance between China and Europe by 1000 kilometers and saves up to 3 days in transportation time.
